THEY ARE FUCKING UP SILENT HILL. ONCE AGAIN!
I’m sorry for all the angst today. BUT MY FUCKING GOD. They already destroyed the first Silent Hill film all to hell, now they have to fuck up the sequel, too, I guess. They totally skipped over James Sunderland’s story and went right to Heather. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Yes. I’m a loser, I know. But I loves me some Silent Hill, and the fact that Konami is letting us fuck up an amazing game series just boggles me. The grand scheme of the entire story about Silent Hill is going to make NO SENSE in the films. There’s no connection. AT ALL.
And how the hell is Heather even going to exist when “Sharon” and her mother were stuck in some sort of alternate-reality type deal at the end of the first movie, anyways?! Not to mention Dahlia didn’t hand over some baby out of the ashes.
Why are they leaving James Sunderland out? Is it because they fucked up and put Pyramid Head in the FIRST movie and now it won’t make sense? Because really, Pyramid Head only existed because of James. I dunno. This movie is just going to be terrible, I know it. They’re probably going to ruin the hell out of Heather, and that’s lame because she’s like… my favorite. ;~;

I found the movie very entertaining even so they didn’t totally respect the story. It still is the best movie adapted from a video game. Now i agree with you, i would prefer the next movie to be based on the second game (James & Mary Sunderland) because, seriously, that was the best of the serie!
“Best” is subjective. From a movie-making standpoint, this does make more sense for Hollywood. Typically, sequels in film follow the path the original story laid out. How Sharon will be shown to have grown up does present a problem, but that’s for the writers to figure out. Whatever happens, it can’t be denied that Silent HIll 3 is a direct sequel of Silent Hill 1, and thus it’s a natural choice for a follow-up movie.
